Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) provide a mathematical representation of the ground or terrain. Digital Surface Models (DSMs) include above-ground features such as buildings and vegetation canopies. Such terrain or surface models can be created using photogrammetry or LiDAR techniques and used in a wide range of application areas.
